December and the whole run up to Christmas can be pretty manic. But this year above all others is our opportunity to do it all a bit differently. Our advice is to take a step back and simply set a little time aside to relax and enjoy whatever the season has to offer. The best way to do that? Book a short break of course.
We’ve got some great rates at this time of year, and there’s normally a few festive events going on. That said, this year gatherings like Christmas Markets may not be your thing. So, depending on whether your definition of a ‘break’ is a little light shopping, getting away from it in the great outdoors or just relaxing by an open fire, we can probably help.
Christmas in Elslack
As we’re publishing this blog in October, alongside the launch of our Christmas Menus, it’s fair to say that many of the traditional Christmas markets in the area are still in a state of flux. So, keep an eye on our Facebook page, and we’ll keep you up to date with the latest local festive activities as they reveal themselves.
As ever our pub & hotel will be ‘dressed’ for the season, our Christmas menus will all be on offer alongside our normal selection and our fires will be lit. All in all it’s an evocative atmosphere in which to grab a couple of quiet days in the run up to the big day.
Other ways to relax…
If we were planning the perfect break in the Yorkshire Dales area right now, we’d mix a day enjoying whatever seasonal options are on, with either;
A day exploring - The countryside around the hotel has plenty of walking and cycling options, as well as a few big houses that are definitely worth a Christmas visit.
Or, a day relaxing with us – Crazy as it may sound, have you just thought about lying in, having a late breakfast and then simply relaxing in the bar all day with a book?
Whatever your preference a December break can be a great way to kick back before revving back up for Christmas. So, drop us a line and we’ll book you a super little getaway.
