Skipton also has a number of reliable local bus routes. If you're arriving by public transport, we recommend Station Taxis Skipton for a quick and comfortable ride to the pub. Our closest bus stop is just at the top of the main road.

Yes, the pub and restaurant are step-free and fully wheelchair accessible. There is also an accessible toilet located near the kitchen and reception area. Pickhill 1 is our wheelchair-friendly room, featuring a super king-size bed, a fully accessible wet room, and supportive grab rails for added comfort and safety.

Yes, we offer two function rooms for Private Events: The Snug, our smaller, more intimate space, and The Pickhill Barn, our larger venue ideal for bigger gatherings and events. Please contact us for more details and pricing.

Yes, Robinsons gift cards are accepted at The Tempest Arms.

Guests are welcome to check in from 3:00pm onwards, giving you plenty of time to settle in and make yourself at home. On the day of departure, we kindly ask that you check out by 11:00am so we can prepare the room for our next guests.

Dogs are very welcome in our bar area, as well as in our ground-floor rooms Pickhill 1–4 and ground-floor suites Dales Head 2 and 3.

Rooms can be cancelled free of charge up until midday on the day before your arrival. Cancellations made after this time will incur a fee equal to the cost of the first night’s stay. To cancel your booking, please contact the hotel directly. If your reservation was made through an online travel agent such as Booking.com or Expedia, cancellations must be processed through their platform.

No, we do not have electric vehicle chargers available on-site at The Tempest Arms. However, the nearest charging stations are conveniently located at Morrisons in Skipton and at the Library in Barnoldswick.

While we’re pleased to welcome a wide variety of guests, our facilities unfortunately cannot accommodate campervans for parking or overnight stays.

The Pickhill Suite can accommodation up to 60 guests for a ceremony and daytime celebrants, with up to 120 guests for evening celebrations.

Yes, you are very welcome to have a legal or Celebrant led Ceremony at The Tempest Arms. If you wish to arrange a legal ceremony, please contact Skipton Registry Office upon booking.
